There are total 1.44 lakh B.Tech seats available in 192 colleges, 42,100 MBA seats in 401 colleges then 7,415 in MCA and 6,770 in B.Pharma under Dr. APJ AKTU affiliation. The condition of most of the UPTU / AKTU private colleges is not so good in terms of placement in companies, infrastructure etc but some college doing well like KIET, AKG, ABES Ghaziabad, JSS, GL Bajaj Noida etc. This year the candidates apply for UPSEE 2016 admission process is lowest in last five years.

UPSEE Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam 2016 popularity is decrease year by year, as according to university number of candidate apply online for UPTU or Dr. APJ AKTU 2016 admission process is lowest in last five year. The main reason for deceasing in no. of candidate apply for entrance exam is that the number of MBA B.Tech private college is increased but placement, quality of faculty, infrastructure is decrease .

• Number of applicants apply has come down from 2.4 lakh last year to 1.5 lakh this year, the lowest in five years.
• Engineering, management, pharmacy, fashion designing, hotel management and architecture courses available in UPTU or Dr. APJ AKTU.
• Available Seats in UPTU or Dr. APJ AKTU 2016 : 1.44 lakh B.Tech in 300 colleges, MBA (42,100), 7,415 in MCA and 6,770 in B.Pharma.
• 401 MBA and 292 B.Tech UPTU colleges in the state, while in 2008-09, UP had only 196 MBA and 208 B.Tech colleges.

Dr. APJ AKTU or UPTU Admission Process

Experts cite lack of basic infrastructure, sub-standard quality of education and fewer placements as reasons for waning interest of students in technical education in the state. "Not more than 15% students enrolled in BTech and MBA programmes get placements. This is due to lack of industries in the state,'' said a faculty at Institute of Engineering and Technology, a constituent college of AKTU.
Number of colleges increase while no check has been put on the number of new colleges, quality of education has been hit.
"Most of these colleges are privately funded institutions which do not even have proper labs. Untrained teachers have further added to the falling standards," said an official at AKTU.

Insurance, Free Medicial Facility for AKTU Lucknow Students

Lucknow: Students of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) may soon have an insurance scheme in their name along with the 'cashless' medical treatment facility as per decisions taken by the finance committee. The move will come to the aid of approximately 5 lakh students of the 634 technical colleges and institutes affiliated to the university across Uttar Pradesh. Looking at the safety and security of women students, decision to construct a women's hostel in IET Lucknow was also taken by the committee headed by vice chancellor Vinay Kumar Pathak.

A sum of Rs 13.5 crore has been set aside for the women's hostel, while a new design institute in Noida will come up for Rs 10 crore. Decision was taken to make e-tendering facilities for all university related projects above Rs 1 lakh. The university has also signed MOU with National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research (Kolkata) for upgrading skills of its faculty.Along with this, Rs 17.95 crore will be given for innovation and incubation and an additional Rs 32 crore for strengthening of various technical institutes under AKTU.
