No second counselling will be conducted this year for  the admission in 700 Engineering and Management colleges of UPTU. The university has decided to carry out admissions on the left over seats by Management Quota.

Now the colleges can admit students by their own criteria to 1,25,000 vacant seats this year. The students can take admission with minimum 50% marks in their qualifying examinations. The relaxation of 5% will be granted to SC-ST students.

The CAB meeting was held at GBTU where discussion about carrying of second counselling took place but later the university decided not to carry it out this time. The officials explained that still the formalities of first counselling have not yet been fulfilled by the students. At the same instance, the second counselling will lead to the confusion among aspirants.

Now the colleges can carry out admissions to the vacant seats till 15th of August. The notification about the vacant seats in respective colleges will be published in the newspaper.
